The funny thing about blogs are they are mostly women who want to share things about their family, marriage, or just random things that come to their mind. That is all fine and bravo to those ladies for being dedicated enough to post on a regular basis and share intimate, sometimes too intimate, details about themselves and life, but where is the side of the dad/men in all of this? I feel we are under represented in the blogosphere and its time I do my part to share from a dad's perspective.
Before we get going on this little journey let me tell you a little about myself. I'm currently 30 with two daughters, six and two and a half years old. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and have a dog which is now the most expensive dog I have ever owned and I don't even like it that much. I have a job as a school counselor, but I will not discuss that much do to a variety of reasons, most of which deal with confidentiality. I do have a social life with my wife and I am pretty relaxed individual. Not a lot gets to me or bothers me but I am a pretty direct person. I don't beat around the bush very often as I feel we, as a society, do that way too much and that doesn't do anyone any good. The final thing I will say is that grammar has never been my strong point when it comes to writing. I will have run-on sentences, missed or overused commas, and a variety of other mistakes. However, I will do my best to correct these before posting as I know how annoying it is when you read something with so many grammatical errors in it that you can no longer decipher what is trying to be said in the paragraph. The good news is I do know the differences between there, their, and they're and be sure to use those correctly.
Well, thanks for stopping by and enjoy reading. Feel free to comment on any post. If you don't like something I said that's fine and feel free to comment. Not everyone will like what I say but that is the nature of the beast...
